Job summary

ASOS Technology is seeking a Data Engineer to design and deliver data solutions on the Azure Data Platform. You’ll work with engineers, analysts, and architects to unlock insights and enable data-driven decisions across ASOS Digital.

You will collaborate in an agile, cross‑functional team, contribute to engineering standards, and grow your skills through learning and shared problem‑ solving.

• Experience delivering data solutions end to end.

• Experience working with cloud‑based data platforms.
• An understanding of how to build reliable, well‑tested data systems.

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering data solutions using the Microsoft Azure Data Platform.
• Collaborating with other engineers through pairing, code reviews, and shared problem‑solving.
• Supporting teams in understanding data, telemetry, and operational issues.
• Exploring new tools or approaches through proof‑of‑concept work, including performance, data modelling, and cost considerations.
• Working with Lead Data Engineers, Engineering Managers, and Solution Architects to develop and improve engineering standards and practices.
• Building solutions that are reliable, well‑tested, maintainable, and automated through modern CI/CD tooling.
• Contributing to an agile, cross‑functional team and taking shared ownership of delivery quality.
• Staying curious about emerging data technologies and identifying opportunities to apply them where they add business value.
