Job summary

ASOS Technology is seeking a Data Engineer to design and deliver scalable data solutions on the Microsoft Azure Data Platform. You will collaborate with engineers, analysts, and architects to enable data-driven insights and improve engineering standards.

You’ll work in a cross-functional team, maintaining reliable data systems and contributing to CI/CD pipelines while staying curious about new data technologies to add business value.

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering data solutions using the Microsoft Azure Data Platform.
• Collaborating with other engineers through pairing, code reviews, and shared problem-solving.
• Supporting teams in understanding data, telemetry, and operational issues.
• Exploring new tools or approaches through proof-of-concept work, including performance, data modelling, and cost considerations.
• Working with Lead Data Engineers, Engineering Managers, and Solution Architects to develop and improve engineering standards and practices.
• Building solutions that are reliable, well-tested, maintainable, and automated through modern CI/CD tooling.
• Contributing to an agile, cross-functional team and taking shared ownership of delivery quality.
• Staying curious about emerging data technologies and identifying opportunities to apply them where they add business value.
