Job summary

TXP is seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer (SC Cleared) for a remote, six‑month contract. You will design, build and maintain secure cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines across Docker, Kubernetes and microservices in AWS.

You will collaborate with Agile teams, apply DevSecOps practices, and travel across the UK occasionally. The role requires hands-on Terraform/CloudFormation expertise and experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• Active SC clearance is required.
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing or supporting AWS environments.
• Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and microservices.
• Knowledge of cloud security and DevSecOps principles.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain secure AWS infrastructure using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Develop, operate and optimise CI/CD pipelines.
• Support Docker containers, Kubernetes environments and microservices-based applications.
• Monitor platform performance and availability; investigate issues and implement improvements.
• Apply cloud security and DevSecOps practices throughout workflows.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to improve automation and release processes.
• Contribute to Agile planning and continuous improvement.
• Document infrastructure and technical decisions.
