Job summary

CBSbutler is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS, Terraform, Jenkins) for a public sector project. The role is fully remote with a 6-month rolling contract and daily rate £500–£520 Inside IR35. BPSS + SC Clearance is required to join the programme, which focuses on secure, scalable cloud infrastructure.

You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate provisioning, and enhance platform observability and resilience across Linux/Windows environments using modern DevOps tooling.

Qualifications

• Strong AWS cloud engineering experience required.
• Terraform and IaC with AWS infrastructure background.
• Jenkins CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance essential.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain reusable CI/CD pipelines.

We're looking for Senior DevOps Engineers to join a public sector programme, working fully remotely on a long-term engagement.

Role Details

• Role: Senior DevOps Engineer
• Location: Fully Remote
• Contract: 6-month rolling contract
• Rate: £500 - £520 per day - Inside IR35
• Clearance: BPSS + SC Clearance required
• Sector: Public Sector

Key Technical Skills

• Strong AWS cloud engineering experience
• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Jenkins CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance
• Groovy or equivalent scripting for pipeline automation
• Docker container build and runtime management
• NGINX
• Linux and Windows administration
• GitLab source-control workflows
• Monitoring, logging and alerting using Elastic and Kibana
• Live production support and third-line incident resolution
• Environment provisioning and operational automation

Key Responsibilities
