Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a hands-on Cloud Engineer to design, build and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS, using serverless services and IaC. You will contribute to event-driven architectures, support DevOps pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Based in Newcastle upon Tyne with flexible/remote options, you’ll work with AWS CDK, Terraform or CloudFormation, and help drive scalable, secure solutions for global brands.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, Cognito, CloudWatch).
• Proficiency in one or more languages (Python, Java, Golang, TypeScript, React).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation).
• Solid understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with DevOps tooling and CI/CD processes.
• Experience with test-driven development and related frameworks.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across the stack.
