Job summary

Version 1 is seeking an experienced cloud engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS using serverless services. You will implement infrastructure as code with CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes microservices, event-driven architecture, and strong DevOps practices, with opportunities for growth and flexible/remote working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services incl. Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, Cognito, CloudWatch.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Java.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Solid understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with DevOps tooling and CI/CD pipelines.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud-native applications using AWS serverless services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, Cognito, CloudWatch).
• Develop infrastructure as code using AWS CDK or similar tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Able to build front/back-end solutions
• Contribute to event-driven and microservices architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, support DevOps processes (CI/CD pipelines, configuration management), and troubleshoot issues across the stack.

Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, especially Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, Cognito, CloudWatch.
• Proficiency in 1/more languages e.g. Python, Java, Golang, TypeScript, React
• Experience with infrastructure as code (AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation).
• Solid understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with DevOps tooling
• Experience with test-driven development and relevant frameworks.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across the stack.
