Job summary

Sompo Holdings, Inc. (SompoRe Claims) is seeking an AVP, Claims Operations Analyst - Reinsurance based in London.

The role combines complex reinsurance claims handling with governance, controls and data-driven performance management across outsourced services. You will develop MI, dashboards and KPI reporting, monitor service levels, and drive continuous improvement in claims operations while coordinating with Finance, Risk and Compliance teams to ensure audit readiness and strong documentation

Qualifications

• Significant claims experience in insurance or reinsurance.
• Experience with complex non-proportional reinsurance claims (Marine/Energy, Trade Credit, Aviation, Engineering).
• Experience in claims operations, governance, and MI reporting.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Advanced Excel; knowledge of Power BI/SQL is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee workflows, procedures, service standards, and documentation for Global Reinsurance Claims.
• Support governance by monitoring controls, audits, and remediation tracking.
• Oversee third-party providers: SLAs, KPIs, reporting, data quality and governance.
• Develop MI, dashboards and KPI reporting for claims operations and vendor performance.
• Identify process gaps and operational risks; propose practical improvements.
