Citi is looking for an experienced Java/J2EE engineer to join the Risk Data Team within the Institutional Data Platform. You will build and maintain high-performance pipelines, microservices, and data-driven tooling across a globally distributed tech organization.

The role emphasizes strong core Java skills, Spring Framework expertise, and a solid understanding of CI/CD, testing, and code quality. A hybrid working model is offered, with a base salary and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex software solutions.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, RESTful services (XML/JSON).
• Hands-on with Microservices Architecture.
• Strong Java core skills: multi-threading and Collections.
• Familiarity with Spring Framework for app development.
• Experience building and optimizing SQL queries.
• Adherence to CI/CD pipelines and best practices.
• Experience with Git or Bitbucket for source control.
• Understanding of clean coding and code quality metrics (Sonar).
• Ability to design and implement unit, integration, and functional tests.
• Solution-driven mindset with strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
