Job summary

Citi’s Technology team in the UK is hiring a senior software engineer to design and deliver highly scalable Java/J2EE applications. You will build robust microservices with Spring Boot and RESTful interfaces, ensure code quality, reliability and performance through CI/CD and testing, and mentor a team of developers across the Risk Data Platform.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex software solutions in Java/J2EE with Spring Boot and RESTful services.
• Hands-on with Core Java, multi-threading, collections, and Spring Framework.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, code quality tools, and OOP design patterns.
• Experience with Git or Bitbucket for source control and modern development workflows.
• Proficiency in writing unit, integration and functional tests and applying clean coding principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement complex software solutions using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and RESTful web services.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust microservices with scalable architecture.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and maintain code quality with Sonar.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of application developers fostering collaboration.
• Create and optimize SQL queries and work with data across systems.
• Promote best practices in software engineering and design patterns.
