Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Software Engineer to join the CIB – Markets Technology team in the UK. The role focuses on designing, building, and delivering scalable and secure software solutions within a fast-paced, agile environment.

As a core technical contributor, you will work across multiple technologies to enhance and deliver trusted market-leading products, while leveraging AI-assisted tools under peer review and secure coding standards.

Qualifications

• Proficient in coding in Java 8/11/17 and above.
• Demonstrated hands-on expertise in Spring Boot for RESTful microservices.
• Experience with system design, development, testing and operational stability.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable and resilient systems using Java.
• Provide secure, production-ready code and maintain algorithms.
• Produce architecture artifacts and ensure design constraints are met.
• Analyze large data sets to drive software improvements.
• Contribute to architecture, tooling, and best practices.
