Job summary

Travail Employment Group is recruiting on behalf of a well-established aviation maintenance client for a Workshop Assistant in Burgess Hill outskirts. You will support production targets with a keen mechanical mindset, ensuring high quality and precision in a busy workshop.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:30, permanent contract, 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, pension, parking, and training and development opportunities. Own transport is required.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) required.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Mechanical background or strong mechanical/engineering interest.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble aircraft wheels and perform initial brake disassembly.
• Handle tyre dismounting and component cleaning using workshop machinery.
• Operate paint removal machines and torque/retest reassembly.
• Read maintenance manuals and follow technical instructions.
• Support workshop processes and maintain safety standards.
