Job summary

AWD online is seeking a Mechanical Technician / Workshop Technician for a busy workshop in Brentwood. You will inspect, service, maintain and repair a range of small hire tools and equipment, learning to diagnose faults in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical maintenance or repair work.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform repairs.
• Willing to learn and participate in training.
• Physically capable of hands-on tool use.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, maintain and repair tools and equipment in the workshop.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic faults.
• Prepare equipment for hire and perform safety checks.
• Inspect returned equipment for damage and cleanliness.
• Record servicing and repair work in maintenance systems.
• Assist with loading/unloading and day-to-day workshop tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe workshop and support colleagues to meet demand.
• Take part in structured training and development.
