Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is hiring a Tool Stores Attendant (FAR) at the Farnborough facility. The role involves issuing, returning and maintaining tooling, equipment, and consumables, with a focus on safety and standards.

Prior warehouse or stores experience is preferred, and duties include inventory control, tool calibration, and coordinating loan tooling with the aircraft maintenance team. The position requires basic education (secondary school or A Level) and the ability to operate

Qualifications

• Secondary school or A Level required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
• Experience in warehouse, stockroom, material handling, technical operations, or transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tooling and consumables are stored and controlled in compliance with company, manufacturer, and regulatory requirements.
• Issue tooling and consumables from stock to the relevant work order.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and reference numbers before issuing equipment.
• Carry out receiving inspections of new and loan tooling and verify serviceability and calibration status.
• Arrange return of loan tooling and update the tool control system accordingly.
• Remove unserviceable tools until repairs or modifications are completed.
• Maintain tool control database and records related to repairs, modifications and preventive maintenance.
• Conduct planned audits of tool boxes and perform inspections per manufacturer recommendations.
