Aviation & Ticketing Executive job in Manchester within the travel industry, offering a competitive salary. This is a hands‑on aviation ticketing role covering Amadeus ticketing, fare building, airline schedule changes and supplier relationships within a busy Aviation team.

Have previous airline ticketing experience, with confident working knowledge of Amadeus reservations and ticketing? Do you understand airfares, fare rules, booking classes, route networks and ticketing conditions, with the accuracy needed to issue tickets correctly and within strict deadlines?

Are you highly organised and meticulous when checking bookings, managing schedule changes and identifying potential errors or financial losses? Would you thrive in a collaborative aviation team, working closely with Reservations and Operations while embracing automated ticketing tools, systems and evolving processes?

Our client is a travel business with a dedicated Aviation team, working closely with Reservations, Operations and Sales colleagues. The team issues airline tickets within airline and company deadlines and builds long‑standing relationships with airlines, consolidators and other suppliers.

They are now seeking an Aviation & Ticketing Executive who will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of airline bookings and ticketing, following agreed checking procedures and making full use of Aviation systems and automation.

The Role

In this role, you will take ownership of the accurate and timely ticketing of airline bookings, working within agreed processes and alongside colleagues across the business.

• Issue airline tickets accurately within airline and company deadlines
• Check all bookings and tickets thoroughly before ticketing to minimise errors and financial loss
• Follow agreed readback and quality control procedures
• Use Amadeus for reservations, ticketing, fare building and fare rules
• Manage airline schedule changes and out‑of‑date‑range flights promptly
• Escalate ticketing issues, errors or potential losses to the appropriate manager
• Maintain accurate records of any errors or losses and ensure they are dealt with promptly
• Use Aviation systems, automation and robots in line with agreed processes
• Build professional relationships with airlines, consolidators and suppliers
• Share knowledge and support colleagues during busy periods and disruption
• Previous experience within an airline ticketing or travel environment
• Good working knowledge of Amadeus, including reservations and ticketing
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to ticketing accuracy
• Good understanding of airline fares, booking classes and ticketing procedures
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills
• Positive attitude and good communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems, processes and automation
