Job summary

StandardAero in Gosport is seeking a skilled fabricator to use hand skills and forming techniques to manufacture and fabricate aircraft structural parts from aluminium. You will interpret technical drawings and collaborate with aircraft technicians to ensure precise fitment.

The role requires coordination with the heat treatments team, participation in continuous improvement, and strict adherence to QMS/SMS/EMS and all manuals.

Qualifications

• Recognised indentured apprenticeship or military equivalent.
• Human Factors.
• Experience of working with forming parts from raw materials.

Responsibilities

• Use hand skill with multiple forming techniques to manufacture and fabricate aircraft structural parts from aluminium.
• Interpret technical documentation.
• Work with aircraft technicians for fine adjustment of parts to ensure fitment.
• Coordinate with the heat treatments team as needed.
• Contribute to team delivery of targets and goals.
• Comply with Tool Control procedures; attend and contribute to team meetings.
• Support continuous improvement to assist productivity, quality and lean methods.
• Undertake training and train other team members for maximum flexibility.
• Adhere to Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
