Job summary

Mitie Security in Belfast is recruiting a Security Team Leader to oversee a team of Protection Officers at a prestigious aviation and manufacturing client. This hands-on leadership role focuses on delivering a safe, secure and resilient manufacturing environment while maintaining exceptional service standards.

You’ll lead by example, manage day-to-day operations and incident response, and play a key role in team performance and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a security leadership or supervisory role.
• Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence (CCTV licence or willingness to obtain).
• Full UK driving licence and access to transport.
• Right to work in the UK with 5-year checkable background.
• British nationality or 5 years UK residency (CTC clearance).
• Calm, professional and effective under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the on-site security team, ensuring effective resourcing and absence management
• Maintain agreed service levels and elevate risks or issues to the Operations Manager
• Build strong working relationships with the client and internal stakeholders
• Oversee security operations including access control, patrols, control room and CCTV activity
• Take a leadership role during security, safety and emergency incidents
• Monitor officer performance, addressing low-level issues in line with company processes
• Manage training requirements and compliance records for the team
• Support employment relations matters on site as required
• Ensure all site instructions, policies and procedures are followed
• Promote Mitie's values, professionalism and a strong safety culture
