Job summary

CarmichaelUK at Heathrow Airport is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage NEC4 Option C contracts on high‑value infrastructure schemes within a fast‑paced aviation environment.

You will own day‑to‑day administration, oversee procurement and monthly valuations, draft EWNs and CEs, prepare CVRs and cost‑to‑complete forecasts, and monitor sub‑contractor costs while maintaining the NEC Risk Register.

Qualifications

• BSc Quantity Surveying or similar.
• Expert working knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.
• Proven QS track record in heavy civil engineering, major infrastructure or demolition.
• Aviation/airport framework experience is advantageous.
• Experience in managing subcontractor accounts and variations.
• Ability to obtain Heathrow Airside pass (clean 5-year history, CRC).

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day administration of NEC4 Option C contracts.
• Oversee procurement, commercial management, and monthly valuations.
• Draft, submit, and negotiate EWNs and CEs.
• Prepare CVRs and cost-to-complete forecasting.
• Interrogate subcontractor applications and costs to minimize risks.
• Maintain NEC Risk Register, monitor productivity and supply chain compliance.
