Job summary

Join AECOM's Aviation Infrastructure team as Associate Director, based in one of several offices (Basingstoke, Croydon, Manchester, Birmingham or London). You will lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable airport solutions across projects of varying scale.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, client relationship management, and business development, with a focus on growth and contributing to a global infrastructure legacy.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Professional qualification: Institution of Civil Engineers (or equivalent).
• Significant experience in design, planning and construction support within the airport environment.
• Knowledge of Civil and Military Aviation standards and recommended practices (ICAO, EASA, CAA, FAA, MAA).
• Exceptional communication skills with an ability to identify and influence key client stakeholders, building effective relationships to support the growth of our pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of multi-disciplinary projects.
• Assure the technical delivery of projects with design team collaboration.
• Engage with key clients and represent the firm at meetings, events and conferences.
• Pursue new business opportunities in the Aviation Infrastructure sector and lead bids.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing team of airport planners, civil engineers and aviation lighting designers.
