Alvest Equipment Services (AES) is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Legacy Business department at Kempston. The role combines site, workshop, and office duties with a focus on Aviation Ground Power Units and related equipment.

The successful candidate will work under the Legacy Manager, performing electrical maintenance, fault diagnosis, and preventive tasks while ensuring safety and quality in all activities. A proactive team player is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working on electrical panels and airport electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot faults in industrial equipment.
• Install and maintain control panels, wiring and circuits.
• Document maintenance actions using a MIS system.
• Commitment to safety and quality during repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Work on electrical panels and airport systems to ensure safety and performance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in industrial and battery-powered equipment.
• Install, repair and maintain industrial electrical systems including panels and wiring.
• Disassemble and reassemble components to OEM specs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document actions in MIS.
• Contribute to continuous improvement to reduce downtime.
• Maintain on-site safety and enforce quality control measures.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external customers.
