The successful candidate will work under the Legacy Manager, performing electrical maintenance, fault diagnosis, and preventive tasks while ensuring safety and quality in all activities. A proactive team player is essential.

Responsibilities

• Work on electrical panels and airport systems to ensure safety and performance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in industrial and battery-powered equipment.
• Install, repair and maintain industrial electrical systems including panels and wiring.
• Disassemble and reassemble components to OEM specs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document actions in MIS.
• Contribute to continuous improvement to reduce downtime.
• Maintain on-site safety and enforce quality control measures.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external customers.

We are looking for a Maintenance technician for our Legacy Business department at Kempston.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Aviation Ground Power Units and associated equipment. This is a fast-paced and demanding role requiring resilience, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dedicated team.

Reporting to the Legacy Manager, the role involves a combination of site-based, workshop, and office responsibilities.

Profil Recherché

• Working on electrical panels, airport-related electrical systems, and battery-powered machinery, ensuring their optimal performance and safety.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve electrical faults and malfunctions in industrial equipment and battery-powered machinery.
• Install, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems, including control panels, wiring, and circuit boards.
• Disassemble components, inspect for quality factors, and reassemble to OEM specifications.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance. Meticulously document all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions utilizing computer-based Maintenance Information Systems (MIS).
• Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiencies and reduce downtime.
• Ensure proper safety while operating equipment on-site. Implementing and enforcing quality control and safety measures during repair and maintenance activities.
• Professional interaction and coordinating with internal departments and external customers.
