Aeronexus is an independent technical consultancy specialising in aero engine asset management, technical appraisals, shop visit (SV) management, on-site representation, and lease return transitions. We bridge complex engineering specifications and asset performance to deliver technical oversight across commercial turbofan platforms (including CFM56, LEAP, V2500, Trent, and GE90).

Role Summary

The Aeronautical Engineer delivers technical engineering, airworthiness evaluation, and technical oversight across commercial aircraft powerplants as well as structural systems, and avionics components. Operating within technical consultancy, MRO, and asset management environments, the engineer evaluates repair schemes, reviews engine maintenance workscopes, inspects structural integrity, and ensures full airworthiness compliance across maintenance cycles.

Key Tasks & Core Duties (SOC 2126 Aligned)

Technical Data & Work Scope Evaluation:

Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM), Airworthiness Directives (AD), and Service Bulletins (SB) to determine work scopes, appropriate engineering methods, and sequence of maintenance operations.

Precision Powerplant Assembly & Component Fitting:

• Oversees, teardown, cleaning, inspection, repair and re-fitting of powerplant modules, submodules and components where and when required.
• Replaces engine components or complete engines; installs and tests electrical and electronic components, Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) systems, and engine health monitoring instrumentation.

Airframe, Landing Gear & Systems Inspection:

• Examines and inspects airframes and aircraft components-including landing gear, hydraulic distribution networks, pneumatic systems, and de-icing

Structural Repairs & Functional Component Maintenance:

• Maintains, repairs, and rebuilds aircraft structures, functional components, nacelles, and thrust reverser sub-assemblies in accordance with approved

Airworthiness Documentation Repair Logs:

• Maintains comprehensive repair logs, shop visit summary reports, Life-Limited Parts (LLP) Back-to-Birth (BtB) traceability records, and regulatory release
