Job summary

Welder - Farnborough for a well-established UK manufacturer. Role involves welding and fabricating complex sub-assemblies from detailed drawings, with focus on aluminium thin-gauge materials.

Requires 4+ years welding experience, proficiency in MIG/TIG, and fabrication skills including multi-level BoMs. Will use micrometers/vernier gauges and perform quality inspections. Overtime paid at time and a half; 20 days holiday plus public holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years welding experience, especially aluminium thin-gauge materials.
• Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding processes.
• Fabrication experience with multi-level BoMs and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Interpret detailed technical drawings and welding symbols.
• Cut and weld metal to fabricate parts and sub-assemblies.
• Set up and operate MIG and TIG welding equipment safely.
• Weld aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel as required.
• Assemble parts by joining components through welding.
• Fabricate complex builds using multi-level BoMs.
• Prepare finished products for painting and inspection.
• Use micrometers and vernier gauges for quality checks.
• Complete documentation and ensure conformance with drawings.
