Job summary

Menzies Aviation in the United Kingdom is seeking a responsible Aircraft Refueller to join our ground operations team. You will refuel passenger aircraft by tanker/bowser and follow strict airline and airport procedures.

Applicants should hold LGV C+E and Class 2 licenses, with strong numeracy, literacy and leadership abilities. Training for refuelling will be provided, and a 5-year verifiable history is required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate high levels of awareness in relation to Health, Safety and the Environment.
• Valid driving license with LGV C+E and Class 2.
• High standard of numeracy and literacy skills, plus problem solving.
• Good teamwork, flexibility, and leadership and communication skills.
• Aircraft refuelling experience desirable; training provided.
• Must have a verifiable five-year employment/education history.

Responsibilities

• Attend and refuel aircraft by tanker/bowser as directed by Allocators/Supervisor.
• Operate in line with airport, health, safety, security and airline procedures.
• Record data manually or by computer and report discrepancies.
• Perform vehicle checks and ensure diesel/gas oil and lubricants are stocked.
• Maintain radio/phone contact for flight information and operate communications.
• Report incidents and complete required reports; undertake other tasks as directed.
