Job summary

Airbus Helicopters UK Ltd at RAF Shawbury is seeking an Aircraft Refueller/Handler to fuel and position aircraft for Flight Operations and Base Maintenance. You will work to JIG and safety regulations, supporting busy operations across an active airfield.

Essential experience includes aircraft refuelling, handling and strong health and safety awareness. Driving licences LGV C+E with ADR (Class 3 in tanks) and CPC required; Desirable: helicopter refuelling and rotors running experience.

Qualifications

• Essential: Aircraft refuelling experience.
• Essential: Aircraft handling experience.
• Essential: Health and safety awareness.
• Essential: Experience supporting busy Flight Operations.
• Desirable: Helicopter refuelling experience, including rotors running.
• Knowledge of H&S for HAZMAT, Helicopter Operations and active airfields.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Handle and refuel aircraft in accordance with JIG regulations and safety requirements, including rotors running refuels.
• Maintain Health and Safety at all times and ensure compliance with internal policies.
• Supply fuel to aircraft by tanker vehicles and ensure correct quantities.
• Operate in accordance with JIG, IATA, Airport, Health & Safety, HM Customs and ASIG regulations.
• Conduct vehicle checks, identify defects and report accordingly.
• Report incidents and provide required reports.
