Job summary

Serco Limited is seeking a Refuel Section Supervisor in the Airfield Engineering and Support Services (AESAS) team at RNAS Yeovilton. You will supervise refueling operations, coordinate vehicles, equipment and drivers, and ensure safe, compliant aviation fuel services for military and civilian aircraft.

The role requires driving qualifications and expertise in fuel quality assurance within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant vocational driving qualifications for operating refueling vehicles and equipment.
• Experience with fuel quality assurance, fuel testing, and contamination control processes.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, including COSHH regulations and quality practices.
• Comfortable using computer systems to maintain accurate operational records and asset information.
• Knowledge of aviation operations and working within a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate refueling operations, vehicles, equipment and drivers to ensure safe and efficient service delivery.
• Carry out fuel-related activities including aircraft refueling, fuel testing, contamination checks, and bulk fuel installation inspections.
• Support aviation fuel services delivery in line with customer requirements, contractual commitments, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain training, competency, and currency records for operational activities and specialist equipment.
• Monitor hazards, identify risks, and support reporting of engineering, safety and near-miss events.
• Collaborate with the Refuel Senior Supervisor and Engineering Support Manager to drive performance and continuous improvement.
