Job summary

Howden is a global insurance group seeking a data-focused professional for the Aviation team. The role supports the Senior Data Analyst, Aviation, with data analysis, reporting and analytics, using data-lake access, SQL and AI-enabled tooling.

Initially spend about 25% of each week embedded with the central Data & Analytics team, receiving formal training and tooling access to apply to aviation work. Collaboration with brokers and stakeholders is essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with brokers and business stakeholders to understand problems and translate into data questions.
• Explore and prototype data ideas and analytics approaches.
• Clean, analyse and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy.
• Spot patterns, trends and anomalies and explain their practical meaning.
• Turn raw data into reports, dashboards and analytics for management and senior leadership.
• Support AI-enabled tools to automate data tasks and accelerate reporting.
• Collaborate with data, technology and analytics teams across the group.
• Document work and follow data/AI best practices.
