Job summary

Howden is recruiting an early-career Data Analyst to join the Aviation team. You’ll learn to turn complex aviation data into clear insights, building reports and dashboards that inform brokers and senior management.

Qualifications

• Degree in a numerate or analytical subject (e.g., maths, statistics, data science, economics, engineering or sciences).
• Strong attention to detail and logical thinking.
• Interest in how data can influence business decisions.
• Confident communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Curious problem-solver with interest in AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Work with brokers and business stakeholders to understand real-world problems and translate them into data and AI questions.
• Explore and prototype data ideas, shaping user stories and analytical approaches.
• Clean, analyse and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Spot patterns, trends and anomalies and explain what they mean in practice.
• Create reports, dashboards and analytics that support brok ers lineslips / facilities and senior management, regularly and ad-hoc.
• Support AI-enabled tools to automate repetitive data entry, cleansing and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with data, technology and analytics teams across the wider group.
• Document work and follow best-practice data and AI standards.
