Job summary

Safran seeks a Configuration Manager to lead the CMS (Configuration Management System) across product, programme and business configurations. You will align CMS with QMS, Information Systems, and regulatory standards while supporting Windchill PLM deployment and process improvements.

You will drive engineering change control, governance, and data reporting, partnering with Change/Programme teams to embed configuration control throughout delivery for Safran Seats and related divisions.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering or HNC/HND.
• CMII Level 6 Certification.
• Proficient in CATIA V5, SmarTeam, and PLM systems.
• Experience in Aerospace or Automotive industries; DMU familiarity.
• Knowledge of Boeing and Airbus specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the CMS, ensuring governance and KPI reporting.
• Own and optimise the engineering change control process and CCBs.
• Drive standardisation of configuration and change practices with group processes.
• Produce and maintain CM data and reports across lifecycle.
• Assess changes and implement improvements to CM processes.
• Partner with Change and Programme Management teams to embed configuration control.
• Support Windchill PLM deployment and optimisation.
• Analyze CMS performance and drive efficiency gains.
