Job summary

Safran Seats seeks a Configuration Manager to lead the CMS across the product and programme lifecycle in Warrington. You will ensure governance and traceability, own change control boards, and drive standardisation in configuration management practices to support aerospace initiatives.

You will collaborate with PM and Change teams, contribute to Windchill PLM deployment, and deliver data-driven reports to optimise performance and compliance throughout programmes.

Qualifications

• CMII Level 6 Certified or equivalent
• Strong understanding of configuration management principles and best practices
• Proficient with PLM systems (CATIA V5/SmarTeam) and DMU environments
• Experience in Aerospace/Automotive industries and knowledge of Boeing/Airbus specs
• Experience with engineering release, change control, and approval processes

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the CMS, ensuring compliance with requirements and KPI reporting
• Own and optimize the engineering change control process with clear responsibilities and effective CCBs
• Drive standardization of configuration and engineering change practices
• Produce and maintain CMS data and reports supporting lifecycle requirements
• Assess changes in business and industry requirements and implement process improvements
• Partner with Change and Programme Management teams to embed configuration control
• Support Windchill PLM deployment and optimisation
• Analyze CMS performance and implement efficiency improvements
