Job summary

Swissport Clerical Agent at Manchester Airport supports daily cargo operations by handling import/export shipments, customs clearances, invoicing and routine customer service for Swissport stakeholders. The role works closely with warehouse teams to ensure on-time processing of flights and trucks.

Shifts include days and nights with weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis, contributing to a dynamic, varied workday in a global aviation services leader.

Qualifications

• Minimum three GCSEs or equivalent.
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays.
• Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication.
• IT literate and able to learn airline computer systems.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams.

Responsibilities

• Acceptance of high value goods such as radioactive goods, live animals or dangerous cargo.
• Greeting clients and visitors, answering telephone queries and responding to emails.
• Comply with relevant legislation and security requirements.
• Follow Swissport SOPs.
• Additional warehouse duties as required.
• Basic Customs Clearance Process.
• Invoicing.
• Processing import and export trucks and flights to deadlines.
