Job summary

JMC Aviation is seeking an Avionics Technician in Birmingham to support maintenance activities in a dynamic aviation environment. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance and technical excellence, with a strong focus on precise wiring and system testing.

The successful candidate will have completed an engineering apprenticeship (aeronautical/military preferred) and possess excellent knowledge of avionics systems, with right to work in the UK and eligibility for security vetting.

Qualifications

• Completed an engineering apprenticeship, ideally in aeronautical engineering or military equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of avionics systems and their integration.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance data and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out modifications and maintenance in accordance with approved drawings and maintenance data, taking accountability for technical integrity.
• Perform precise wiring terminations and testing.
• Remove and install shelves, panels and equipment as required.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics and regulatory requirements.
• Manufacture and test loom assemblies.
• Support avionics system testing, validation and troubleshooting.
• Maintain high standards of tool control and workspace safety.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
