Job summary

First People Solutions is recruiting an Avionics Technician for their client in the West Midlands. You will work under Licensed Engineers, carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and assisting with fault diagnosis on aircraft electrical and avionic systems.

We’re looking for someone with experience in aircraft maintenance, a keen eye for detail and a drive to develop towards a B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence. AW109/AW169 knowledge is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience in aircraft maintenance is required.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical and avionic systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and professional approach.
  • Desire to progress towards a B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out scheduled maintenance under supervision of Licensed Engineers.
  • Assist with fault diagnosis and rectification of electrical and avionic systems.
  • Complete maintenance tasks per approved procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure regulatory compliance.

Job description

First People Solutions are currently recruiting for an Avionics Technician for their client in West Midlands.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic aviation professional who may already be working towards their B2 Licence, providing the chance to develop their skills and experience while working alongside experienced Licensed Engineers in a professional and supportive environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance under the supervision of Licensed Engineers.
  • Assist with fault diagnosis and rectification of aircraft electrical and avionic systems.
  • Complete maintenance tasks in accordance with approved procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive maintenance records.
  • Ensure compliance with UK CAA regulations and company procedures.
  • Work closely with the wider Engineering team to maintain high standards of safety and quality.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience working within an aircraft maintenance environment.
  • Good knowledge of aircraft electrical and avionic systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and a professional, enthusiastic approach.
  • A genuine desire to develop your career and work towards a B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and workmanship.
  • AW109/AW169 experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
