Job summary

FORTÉ is a UK-based company delivering integrated audio, video and control solutions that power smarter workplaces. The Sales Engineer role partners with the Sales Team to provide pre-sales technical consultancy, demonstrations and tailored configurations for customers and partners.

You will design and configure AV systems, research hardware/software options and engage with stakeholders from project managers to executives to ensure solutions meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in service and installation of audio, video and presentation systems.
• Knowledge of control systems programming and CAD drawings.
• Ability to read engineering schematics and communicate design intent.
• Strong communication, leadership and customer relation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for AV architecture, installation and planning.
• Research and analyze hardware and software options.
• May have direct customer interaction through the life cycle of a sale, communicating with all levels of staff and customers.
• Design audiovisual systems of various hardware and software components that work together as one integrated system and that meet customer’s specific needs.
• Assists with the development of formal sales plans and proposals.
