Job summary

Eclipse Global in London is seeking an AV Technician to set up and test sound, lighting and video equipment for live events, program control systems and work with the event crew.

You will perform safety checks, troubleshoot issues, maintain equipment and ensure high-quality customer service under pressure.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable working knowledge and experience in operating audio mixers, lighting control desks and AV equipment.
• Good literacy, numeracy and technical skills.
• Understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
• Knowledge of firmware updates on equipment.
• Knowledge of at least two areas of Sound, Lighting and Data Projection.
• Resourceful with the ability to identify issues and proactively resolve problems.
• Keen eye for detail and strong time management.

OVERVIEW

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and test sound, lighting and video equipment, and program control systems.
• Carry out pre-event safety checks, troubleshoot and resolve problems with existing systems.
• Pack up equipment at a venue ready for storage or transportation.
• Inspect, clean, and maintain AV equipment to ensure it is in optimal condition.
• Work closely with other technical crew members, freelance staff and event organizers.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols during equipment setup and operation.

Experience Required:

• Demonstrable working knowledge and experience in the operation of audio mixers, lighting control desks and AV equipment to include but not limited to: Allen & Heath, d&b, Avolites, Chauvet, ROBE, & Panasonic projectors.
• Good literacy, numeracy and technical skills.
• An understanding or awareness of relevant Health & Safety requirements is desirable.
• An understanding of the installation of firmware updates on equipment.
• Knowledge & understanding of at least two areas of Sound, Lighting and Data Projection.
• You will be naturally resourceful demonstrating the ability to identify issues and Proactively resolve problems.
• Will have a keen eye for detail.
• Good time management skills in order to adapt to continually changing demands anD priorities
• A demonstrable understanding of the importance of high-quality customer service (both internal and external) placing the customer at the heart of what we do at Eclipse
• Ability to work well under pressure, able to prioritise most time sensitive tasks.
