Job summary

Ericsson Reading is seeking an EOE Research Director to shape the MSN operations, platforms and capabilities roadmap, driving autonomy and leading-edge tools architecture.

You will define the research agenda, partner with R&D units and industry bodies, and translate market developments into actionable intelligence for senior leadership. Strong English, strategic thinking and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering, business, computer science or related field.
• Applied research and portfolio management experience preferred in telecom or technology.
• Strong business, financial acumen and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Define, maintain & execute a research agenda for MSN operations and EOE, aligned with strategy.
• Build relationships with internal and external research partners (R&D units, industry bodies, analysts).
• Scan and synthesize developments in operations autonomy and cloud-based ops into actionable intel.
• Research future MSN operating models and feed concepts into the roadmap.
• Identify and analyze emerging technologies (excluding AI) to enhance MSN operations.
• Collaborate with AI Innovation on long-term AI and autonomy vision for network operations.
• Bespoke research to support new offerings or market entry.
• Deliver clear recommendations on innovations for MSN operating model and tools.
• Support thought leadership and external positioning as a leader in autonomous operations.
