Job summary

DPD Group UK is seeking a delivery driver to own a designated local route, handling 40-50 stops daily with a focus on safe, efficient, and friendly service. You’ll operate a 7.5 Tonne vehicle and use Saturn handhelds to manage deliveries while representing the DPD customer experience.

The role emphasizes autonomy, tech-savviness, and physical activity, with a commitment to high standards of service and respectful interaction with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• A valid 7.5 Tonne (C1) licence and DQC/CPC accreditation.
• Ideally 6 months recent driving experience handling 7.5 Tonne vehicles.
• Professional, approachable, thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically active and comfortable with lifting involved in the job.
• Care about doing a good job and treating customers and colleagues with respect.

Responsibilities

• Drive local routes in a 7.5 Tonne vehicle, ensuring safe, professional, and efficient delivery.
• Use Saturn handheld devices to track deliveries and manage progress.
• Be the friendly face customers see during quick drop-offs and interactions.
• Load and unload parcels using sack barrows and hand trucks, lifting safely.
