Job summary

Autonomy Care Group is seeking a Team Leader in Melksham and surrounding areas to guide a dedicated care team delivering high-quality support to individuals in their own homes. You will mentor staff, oversee medication practices, supervise shifts, and participate in onboarding and after-hours on-call leadership.

The ideal candidate holds NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, has strong numeracy and literacy skills, and a commitment to safeguarding and person-centred care.

Responsibilities

Autonomy Care supports people in their day-to-day lives, helping them to enjoy the comfort and familiarity of their own homes while ensuring that their care and wellbeing needs are met, 24 hours a day.

Locations we cover:Melksham, Calne, Chippenham, Devizes, Trowbridge, Warminster, Westbury, and surrounding areas. A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is a must!

What you will do as a Team Leader:

• Lead, Coach & Inspire: Mentor your team to deliver outstanding care
• Supportive Supervision: Carry out regular supervisions for the Support Worker team.
• Team Coverage: Step in to cover shifts and ensure smooth operations when team members are absent.
• Medication Management: Conduct medication audits and supervise staff with safe dispensing practices.
• Onboarding & Inductions: Help welcome and train new team members
• On-call Leadership:Take part in the on-call rota, including weekends, to ensure continuous support.

• Weekday Days £13.50 per hour
• Weekday Evenings £14.50 per hour
• Weekend Days up to £14.50 per hour
• Weekend Evenings up to £15.50 per hour
• Bank Holiday (Time and a half)
• Paid business mileage (45p for cars)
• Holiday top-up payments made for regular over time (T&C's)
