Job summary

CSH Surrey, part of the NHS, invites Emergency Nurse Practitioners and Paramedic Practitioners to join our Urgent Treatment Centre in Ashford. You will provide autonomous, evidence-based care for adults and children, with non-medical prescribing support and opportunities for professional development.

Shifts cover 08:00–20:00 across 7 days, with a strong emphasis on assessment and timely treatment. NHS pension, staff benefits, and the 5% Fringe High-Cost Allowance are included.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Level 1 or HCPC registered paramedic.
• Post-registration diploma or equivalent in advanced assessment skills for non-medical practitioners.
• Post-registration diploma or equivalent in managing minor injury for advanced practice.
• Post-registration diploma or equivalent in managing minor illness/health problems for advanced practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent and unscheduled care 365 days a year.
• Assess, diagnose and treat acute minor illnesses and injuries.
• Prescribe within guidelines where applicable.
• Lead and supervise walk-in centre staff and ensure appropriate skill mix on each shift.
• Deliver high quality, evidence-based patient-centred care and promote self-care.
