Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board’s Urgent Treatment Centre in Ashford, Surrey, seeks Emergency Nurse Practitioners and Paramedic Practitioners to provide autonomous, evidence-based unscheduled care 7 days a week.

The role offers training including non-medical prescribing, NHS pension benefits, and Agenda for Change terms. Shifts run 08:00–20:00, with opportunities for full- and part-time hours. Interviews will be held between 8 and 16 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years post-registration experience in ED or UTC/walk-in centre.
• Registration with NMC or HCPC as applicable.
• Support for non-medical prescribing training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver urgent, accessible care in the UTC.
• Perform assessment, differential diagnosis, and treatment of minor illnesses/injuries.
• Work autonomously within guidelines and document clearly.
• Provide supervision and development support to junior staff.
