Job summary

Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Specialist SLT to join our team in the Huntingdon area (with North Cambridge locality). You will manage a more complex caseload, using clinical judgement to deliver evidence-based assessment and intervention to children, including those with additional needs.

• Qualified SLT with HCPC registration.
• Experience managing a varied/complex caseload.
• Strong clinical reasoning and autonomous decision-making.
• Ability to provide guidance, supervision or training to others.
• Excellent communication and partnership-working across the MDT.
• Commitment to person-centred, evidence-based practice.
• Confident, reflective and motivated to develop specialist skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a specialist, complex caseload and deliver evidence-based assessment and intervention to children.
• Collaborate with families, schools, carers and MDT partners to support communication and swallowing needs.
• Provide supervision, guidance and training to colleagues.
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement.
• Assess and differential diagnose ASD.
• Participate in specialist CPD and supervision arrangements.
