Job summary

Reed in Ipswich is seeking a senior leader to own the overall performance of a chemical manufacturing and process production site. You will oversee production, stock control, HSE, compliance, budgets and resource management, while driving continuous improvement and working closely with the Engineering Manager.

The role requires strong leadership across manufacturing environments, with a technical background considered advantageous for operational excellence in a highly regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Experience in production planning, budgets, HSE and compliance.
• Engineering background is advantageous for an operational focus.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive site operations engineering and performance.
• Lead Health, Safety, Environmental and Compliance activities.
• Oversee production planning and operational delivery.
• Manage stock, resources and budgets.
• Lead and develop the site team and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering, commercial and distribution functions.
• Manage site risk, audits and business continuity plans.
