Job summary

Vero HR is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer/Buyer to own purchasing and supply chain activities within an established manufacturing business. Reporting to the Operations Director, this standalone role offers autonomy and real impact.

You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, monitor stock and forecasts, and drive cost savings while collaborating across functions to align supply with demand and support long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement or supply chain management (manufacturing / FMCG preferred).
• Strong negotiation and supplier management capability.
• Commercial mindset with focus on cost and value.
• Data-driven with analytics and forecasting experience.
• Experience with ERP systems and procurement tools.
• Confident communicator able to influence stakeholders.
• Proactive, hands-on approach in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of purchasing and supply chain activities.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships.
• Negotiate pricing, supply agreements and service levels.
• Monitor stock levels and demand forecasts.
• Support continuous improvement across the supply chain.
• Analyse purchasing data and supplier performance.
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure continuity of supply.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
