Job summary

Vero Hr Ltd is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer/Buyer to own purchasing and supply chain activities in a manufacturing setting. You will report to senior management and enjoy autonomy to drive supplier performance, cost control, and stock management.

In this standalone role you will align supply with demand, support long‑term growth, and lead continuous improvement across procurement. A data‑driven, proactive approach is essential for success.

About the opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer/Buyer to take ownership of purchasing and supply chain activities within an established manufacturing business.

Reporting directly to the Operations Director and working closely with the Managing Director, this is a standalone role offering a high level of autonomy and responsibility. The position would suit an experienced procurement professional looking for a stable, long-term opportunity where they can make a genuine impact.

The Role:

You’ll take ownership of the purchasing and supply chain function, ensuring the business is equipped with the right suppliers, at the right cost, delivering the right quality.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll play a key role in aligning supply with demand, improving performance, and supporting long-term business growth.

In particular, you will:

• Manage the day-to-day procurement and supply chain activities
• Build and maintain effective supplier relationships
• Negotiate pricing, supply agreements and service levels
• Monitor stock levels and demand forecasts
