Job summary

Vero HR is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer/Buyer to own purchasing and supply chain activities within an established manufacturing business. Reporting to the Operations Director, this standalone role offers autonomy and real impact.

You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, monitor stock and forecasts, and drive cost savings while collaborating across functions to align supply with demand and support long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement or supply chain management (manufacturing / FMCG preferred).
• Strong negotiation and supplier management capability.
• Commercial mindset with focus on cost and value.
• Data-driven with analytics and forecasting experience.
• Experience with ERP systems and procurement tools.
• Confident communicator able to influence stakeholders.

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer/Buyer to take ownership of purchasing and supply chain activities within an established manufacturing business.

Reporting directly to the Operations Director and working closely with the Managing Director, this is a standalone role offering a high level of autonomy and responsibility. The position would suit an experienced procurement professional looking for a stable, long-term opportunity where they can make a genuine impact.

The Role:

You'll take ownership of the purchasing and supply chain function, ensuring the business is equipped with the right suppliers, at the right cost, delivering the right quality.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll play a key role in aligning supply with demand, improving performance, and supporting long-term business growth.

In particular, you will:

• Manage the day-to-day procurement and supply chain activities
• Build and maintain effective supplier relationships
• Negotiate pricing, supply agreements and service levels
• Monitor stock levels and demand forecasts
