Job summary

Pure Physio is recruiting a First Contact Physiotherapist for Barnsley, North Sheffield region. The role is 40 hours per week, permanent, with a salary of £42,000 to £49,000 pro rata depending on experience.

All FCPs are qualified physiotherapists with a BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy, at least five years post-qualification MSK experience and advanced MSK training aligned with the national roadmap. The post supports GP practices and wider community MSK care.

Qualifications

• Qualified physiotherapist with a BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy.
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification MSK experience.
• Advanced MSK training aligned with the national FCP/Advanced Practice Roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose MSK conditions at first contact.
• Provide advice on pain management, mobility and recovery.
• Recommend treatment or onward referral to specialists.
• Order investigations when appropriate.
• Reduce GP workload by managing MSK cases directly.
