Roundhouse Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer (Mechanical) for a Southern England home-based/field-based role with an international manufacturer of condition-monitoring equipment.

You will manage an established portfolio including McLaren F1 and BMW, enjoy diary flexibility and autonomy, and benefit from a company car, private healthcare and ongoing ISO training.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales or account management within mechanical/industrial sector.
• Recognised mechanical engineering qualification; understanding of electromechanical machinery.
• Experience selling industrial equipment or technical services (pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, rotating equipment).
• Strong account management, relationship-building and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel across the territory with a UK driving licence.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage an established customer portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an existing portfolio of blue-chip/industrial accounts including McLaren F1 and BMW.
• Build relationships with engineering managers, maintenance teams and technical decision-makers.
• Understand customers' mechanical equipment and reliability requirements; recommend solutions.
• Sell condition-monitoring and vibration-analysis equipment to industrial customers.
• Manage your territory, diary and approx four customer-site visits per week.
• Work remotely between visits with flexibility to structure your working week.
• Develop technical knowledge through accredited training in vibration analysis and condition monitoring.

£50,000-£60,000 + Commission OTE £60,000-£85,000

Are you a Technical Sales Engineer / Account Manager or similar from a Mechanical Engineering background looking to take ownership of an established customer portfolio including Mclaren F1 and BMW with the freedom to manage your own diary and working week?

This is a unique opportunity to work for an established international manufacturer of condition-monitoring equipment who have just had there 5-year growth plan confirmed in the UK. You'll manage relationships with leading Engineering and Manufacturing businesses, helping customers improve machinery reliability, reduce downtime and identify developing equipment faults.

With an approved growth plan, accredited specialist training (Including ISO quals) this is a rare opportunity to take ownership of an established customer portfolio, manage your own working week and develop your career within a growing international engineering business.

The Role

• • Manage and develop an existing portfolio of blue-chip and industrial customer accounts, including McLaren F1 and BMW.
  • Build relationships with engineering managers, maintenance teams and technical decision-makers.
  • Understand customers' mechanical equipment and reliability requirements, recommending appropriate technical solutions.
  • Sell specialist condition-monitoring and vibration-analysis equipment to industrial customers.
  • Manage your own territory, diary and customer appointments, averaging approximately four customer-site visits per week.
  • Work remotely between customer visits, with genuine flexibility to structure your working week.
  • Develop your technical knowledge through accredited specialist training in vibration analysis and condition monitoring.

What We're Looking For

• • Technical sales / Account management / BDM experience within Mechanical engineering or a related industrial sector.
  • A recognised Mechanical engineering qualification and a good understanding of electromechanical machinery.
  • Experience selling industrial equipment, engineering products or technical services ( such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, rotating equipment,)
  • Strong account management, relationship-building and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and manage an established customer portfolio.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the territory, including occasional overnight stays.

Salary & Benefits

• • £50,000-£60,000 basic salary
  • Potential OTE: £60,000-£85,000
