Job summary

Elix Sourcing Solutions in Stevenage is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer specialized in tooling and injection moulds. The role involves independently designing tools from single-impression to multi-cavity systems and delivering designs through to manufacture.

You will work with Creo and SolidWorks in a small design team, liaising with customers, managing projects, and contributing to R&D initiatives. Salary £35,000–£40,000 per annum with overtime and generous holiday.

Qualifications

• Experience designing high-precision injection mould tools.
• Ability to work independently; toolmaking experience is advantageous.
• Willing to live within commuting distance of Stevenage.

Responsibilities

• Design high-precision injection mould tools from single-impression to multi-cavity systems.
• Manage projects, liaise with customers and conduct design reviews and DFM.
• Collaborate with the in-house toolroom to take designs from concept through manufacture.
