Job summary

NHS National Services Scotland is recruiting an experienced Health Care Support Worker to join the ICASS Intermediate Care Team in the community. You will deliver therapeutic treatment programmes at patients' homes or as out-patients, cooperating with the Physiotherapy Service to prevent hospital admissions and support early discharge.

You will hold an HNC in Health and Social Care or SCQF level 8, with NHS therapy support experience and a track record with older people.

Qualifications

• HNC in Health and Social Care or SCQF level 8 (e.g., Postural Stability Instructor) is required.
• Experience working in the NHS as a therapy support worker is essential.
• Experience working with older people is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic treatment programmes to service users in their own homes or as out-patients.
• Hold an autonomous caseload, assess, progress and discharge within parameters.
• Work with the Physiotherapy Service within Intermediate Care to prevent hospital admission and support early discharge.
