Job summary

NHS Scotland is recruiting an assistant practitioner to join Community Rehabilitation Teams delivering therapeutic programmes in service users' homes and in outpatient settings across Fife. The role involves autonomous caseload management in collaboration with OT and PT staff, with potential postings across Kirkcaldy and surrounding localities.

You will require an HNC/HND in Health and Social Care or SCQF level 8, with prior therapy support experience and a focus on older adults.

Qualifications

• Must have HNC/HND in Health and Social Care or SCQF level 8 (e.g. Postural Stability Instructor).
• Experience as a therapy support worker is essential.
• Experience of working with older people is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic treatment programmes to service users in their own homes.
• Hold own caseload, assess, progress and discharge within parameters.
• Work with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy staff as part of the Community Rehabilitation Team.
• May be required to work at other community hospital sites.
