Job summary

NHS Scotland in Kirkcaldy invites applications for an assistant practitioner to join the Community Rehabilitation Team. The role delivers therapeutic programmes in service users’ homes, supporting hospital discharge and preventing admissions.

You will work with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy staff, hold your own caseload, and travel across the area, with potential postings at other community facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in Health and Social Care or SCQF level 8 or equivalent.
• Experience as a therapy support worker.
• Experience with older people is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic treatment programmes in service users' homes.
• Hold own caseload; assess, progress and discharge within parameters.
• Work with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy staff as part of the Community Rehabilitation Team.
• Travel across the area; may work at other community hospital sites.
